Cargo unloading and handling for scientists involved in Arctic exploration

• organizing transport of cargo from Poland to Spitsbergen and back 
• short-term storage of transported cargo (<14 days; if more time is needed, then go to the Storage panel)
• assistance in the handling of cargo to other delivery units 
• the ability to arrange delivery and pick-up services indirectly

Storage

Long-term storage of cargo research equipment and samples 

• storage is possible in the city centre of Longyearbyen or a main BERA’s facility closer to the coal port and airport
• storage time of this service allows for year-round deposition and more
• storage is possible in refrigerators, freezers 
  • above-zero temperatures (>+5°C temperature)
  • in fridges (stable temp. 4 °C)
  • in freezers (stable temp. -18 °C) 
  • in magazines where temperature does not play a role

Use of facilities and renting equipment

Providing access to the BERA’s Centre research infrastructure and research equipment

1. Use of facilities
   • access to the building space: 
     • workshop with access to tools and mechanical equipment to enable minor repairs of research equipment
     • office zone with internet access, a printer, scanner, laminating machines, etc.
     • conference and lecture zone.
