Cargo unloading and handling for scientists involved in Arctic exploration
- organizing transport of cargo from Poland to Spitsbergen and back
- short-term storage of transported cargo (<14 days; if more time is needed, then go to the Storage panel)
- assistance in the handling of cargo to other delivery units
- the ability to arrange delivery and pick-up services indirectly
Storage
Long-term storage of cargo research equipment and samples
- storage is possible in the city centre of Longyearbyen or a main BERA’s facility closer to the coal port and airport
- storage time of this service allows for year-round deposition and more
- storage is possible in refrigerators, freezers
- above-zero temperatures (>+5°C temperature)
- in fridges (stable temp. 4 °C)
- in freezers (stable temp. -18 °C)
- in magazines where temperature does not play a role
Use of facilities and renting equipment
Providing access to the BERA’s Centre research infrastructure and research equipment
- Use of facilities
- access to the building space:
- workshop with access to tools and mechanical equipment to enable minor repairs of research equipment
- office zone with internet access, a printer, scanner, laminating machines, etc.
